Students Offered Free Meningitis Shots
The Camden County Department of Health and Human Services is offering free meningococcal vaccine to college bound students from Camden County. “The Camden County Health Department has received doses of meningococcal vaccine from the Federal Reinvestment & Recovery Act,” said Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Department of Health and Human Services. College-bound students may make an appointment to receive the meningococcal vaccine on Monday, August 9, 16, 23 or 30 from noon to 4:00 pm at the Bellmawr Regional Health Center, 35 Browning Road, Bellmawr NJ, by calling (856) 931-2700.
Nutrition Vouchers Available for Senior Citizens
Farmer’s Market Nutrition Vouchers for New Jersey fresh fruits, vegetables and herbs are available to Senior Citizens from the Camden County Division of Senior and Disabled Services. “This is a great opportunity for senior citizens to incorporate the fresh fruits and vegetables of the season into their diets,” said Freeholder Carmen Rodriguez, liaison to the Camden County Division of Senior and Disabled Services. Eligible seniors will receive a $20 voucher. To qualify, recipients must be Camden County residents, 60 years of age and older, with an annual income not exceeding $20,036 (or $26,955 for a couple).
